FL24116 - Fleck 5600 Valve Standard Piston Range , White Cap Standard Regen

The FL24116 standard piston is the genuine internal piston assembly fitted to Fleck 5600 control valves in the White Cap standard regeneration range, directing water through the service, backwash, brine draw and rinse stages of every cycle. Why it fails / why it matters

The piston sits inside the valve body and slides back and forth on the seal and spacer stack, opening and closing the correct ports for each stage of regeneration. Iron, grit and years of chlorinated mains water gradually wear or score the seals and spacers, allowing water to bypass to drain when it shouldn't, or preventing the piston travelling its full range so the valve hangs mid-cycle.

How to fit it

1. Turn off the water supply and place the valve in bypass, relieving system pressure
2. Remove the headwork retaining clips or screws to access the piston assembly
3. Withdraw the old piston, seal and spacer stack from the valve body
4. Inspect the valve body bore for scoring or debris and clean if needed
5. Fit the new FL24116 piston assembly, confirming it matches the White Cap standard regen range
6. Reassemble the headwork, restore the water supply and run a manual regeneration to confirm smooth cycling
