The new SSP97 from SPECTRUM, delivers exceptional 97% efficiency, with a low clear pressure drop at an affordable price. Finer fibres used in the construction create a more accurate level of filtration, whilst maintaining a high dirt holding capacity. The SSP97 with its melt-bonded exterior minimises any fibre migration, whilst its single, one piece, graded density and thermally bonded fibre construction made from 100% polypropylene introduces no binders, lubricants, or other additives in its manufacture.

Frequently asked questions

The SSP97 is Spectrum's TruDepth High Efficiency Spun cartridge — a step up from the Standard (SSP) spun filter, built for a higher level of filtration efficiency at a given micron rating, useful where you need tighter, more consistent particle capture than the standard spun range offers.

Choose the SSP97 where you need higher filtration efficiency than the Standard (SSP) but don't require the Premier (PSP)'s reinforced core for higher pressure or temperature applications — it sits between the two on both performance and cost.

Like the rest of Spectrum's TruDepth spun range, it's manufactured from lot-controlled, FDA-compliant materials with WRAS approval, using a graded-density spun construction with no solvents, binders, or anti-static agents.

General incoming water filtration, pre-RO treatment, and pump/nozzle protection — the same core applications as the SSP range, with the SSP97 chosen where higher filtration efficiency is the priority.

No — like other spun-bonded cartridges, it's a single-use, disposable filter. Sediment is captured throughout the depth of the media, so it can't be effectively cleaned and reused once loaded.
