The G436/HO-Li is a 4-pin, 436mm high output replacement UV lamp compatible with the SITA UV 405 AL, LCD and LCD+ systems, as well as the GER25XOSE DaRo Saphir 3. WrekinWater stocks it as the correct annual replacement for these higher-output units, distinct from the standard-output lamps used elsewhere in the range. Getting the right output rating matters, since a standard lamp fitted to a high-output housing won't deliver the dose the system was designed around.

Signs you need this part
- It's roughly 12 months since the lamp was last replaced.
- Your system's monitor, where fitted, shows reduced UV output.
- The lamp still illuminates but you can't verify whether it's still dosing correctly.
- Water taste, smell or clarity has changed even though the lamp appears to be working.
High output lamps are built to deliver a stronger UV dose than standard lamps, which is why systems like the SITA UV 405 and DaRo Saphir 3 are designed specifically around them. Like any UV lamp, output falls steadily over time long before the lamp fails to strike, so a lamp running past its 12-month interval may be under-dosing the water even though it still lights normally. Fitting the wrong lamp, or an old one, undermines the higher disinfection capability these systems were bought for in the first place.

How to fit it
- Isolate power to the UV unit and, where relevant, the water supply.
- Undo the retaining cap or nut and withdraw the old lamp from the quartz sleeve.
- Clean the quartz sleeve before fitting the replacement.
- Insert the new G436/HO-Li lamp fully, aligning the 4-pin connector correctly.
- Refit the retaining cap and reconnect the electrical connector.
- Restore power and confirm the unit powers up and runs as expected.
