Juraperle made up of calcium carbonate (CaCO3), designed to adjust the pH levels in water with low pH. It performs as a steady release and will require topping up, probably on a yearly basis. Commonly used on private water supplies
Juraperle is made of approximately 99% calcium carbonate which is more effective than regular limestone. It gradually dissolves into the water supply and raises the PH without over-correction. It is best used on PH levels that just fall short of the UK potable regulations minimum requirement of PH 6.5. In addition to PH correction, Juraperle can help in the removal of iron and manganese through the oxidation process. Backwashing systems using Filox-R or Birm require minimum levels of PH.
Juraperle is suitable for potable water treatment and the remineralization of soft and desalinated waters. When water interacts with Juraperle, free CO2 is converted to bicarbonate, and calcium is dissolved, increasing both the pH and hardness levels.
Juraperle may increase water hardness, A Water Softener, installed after the PH unit, can correct the hardness level, preventing the effects of scale on household appliances without changing the PH level achieved pre-Softener. A Water Softener, using Low Fouling resin also has the ability to remove heavy metals such as Iron, Manganese and Lead. Always seek our advice
