It's the slim-diameter format of the SCB carbon block, sized to fit multi-round/multi-cartridge housings that hold several narrower cartridges side by side rather than one standard-diameter cartridge. The 222-style fin end with EPDM O-rings is the seal configuration — check your housing's seal type before ordering to make sure it matches.

The SCB uses a powder-activated carbon block, which packs more active surface area into the block than a standard granular/extruded carbon block, giving more effective chlorine, taste and odour reduction for its size. It's Spectrum's standard-grade carbon block, sitting above the ECB Economic range in reduction performance.
