- PH Level of Raw Water
- Capability of pump to deliver min. 2m3/hr for effective backwash. Higher flow rates are required as cylinder size increases.
- Pyrolox needs backwashing every day
- Needs a Gravel bed
- Needs 40% Freeboard (Space in the cylinder above the level of media for effective backwashing
