How to fit it

1. Isolate the softener at the bypass valve and shut off the mains supply before opening the resin tank
2. Remove the control valve from the tank top to access the riser tube and lower distributor head
3. Unscrew the old, damaged distributor head from the base of the riser tube, taking care not to disturb the resin bed more than necessary
4. Fit the new D1226 distributor head, checking the o-ring or thread seal is correctly seated
5. Reinsert the riser tube and top up the resin bed if any media has been lost
6. Refit the control valve, restore the water supply, and run a backwash cycle to check for resin carryover before returning to service
