Used for iron and manganese removal by catalytic oxidation. It is a robust natural mineral. It requires a pH of 7 or more for iron removal and 8 for manganese removal. Aqua-mandix is a cost effective filter media which can be mixed with sand where the Aqua-mandix catalyses the metals and then the less expensive sand filters out the precipitate. It can also be mixed with pH media to and increase the pH all in one system.

Aqua-mandix / Manganese dioxide

Aqua-mandix is a natural, crushed manganese dioxide without additives and free from contamination. Used as a joker for catalytic removal of dissolved iron and manganese in one filtration step. The product will do a very good job already at pH 6,5 and even in presence of NH4. Aqua-mandix will also remove "parts of" As, Al and H2S if present next to Fe and Mn.
