Product Description
The V3003-02 is the turbine meter assembly fitted to Clack's larger commercial control valves - the WS1.5, WS2, WS2H and WS3 - measuring water flow through the valve so the controller can trigger regeneration on actual usage rather than a fixed clock. It sits in the meter housing on the valve body and drives the electronic signal the control board uses to track volume. Over time the turbine can wear, jam with debris or stop registering flow altogether, at which point replacing the meter assembly restores accurate metered regeneration. Stocked by WrekinWater for commercial softener and filtration installers.

Symptoms that mean you need this part
- The system regenerates on a fixed schedule instead of tracking actual water usage
- The controller shows no flow or an implausibly low reading even with taps running
- The meter turbine is visibly jammed, cracked or missing blades when inspected
- Regeneration is triggering far too early or far too late relative to real household or site demand
- Grit or debris from the mains supply has damaged the turbine and housing
Why it fails / why it matters
Metered regeneration only works if the control valve can accurately see how much water has passed through it, and that job falls entirely to the turbine meter assembly. Fine grit, scale particles or general wear can nick the turbine blades or clog the housing, causing the reading to drift, stall or stop completely. Because the meter is a sealed, self-contained cartridge that clips into the valve body, a fault here nearly always means replacing the whole V3003-02 assembly rather than trying to service the turbine itself.
Why buy this from WrekinWater
WrekinWater has supplied commercial water treatment parts for over 15 years from its Bettisfield, Shropshire base, stocking genuine Clack components alongside Pentair Fleck, Autotrol and Kinetico ranges so commercial installers and site engineers can match the exact meter to their valve size. With more than 50,000 customers served and an Excellent rating on Trustpilot, orders are processed quickly to keep commercial systems regenerating correctly.
How to fit it
- Isolate the softener or filter at the bypass valve and relieve pressure before opening the valve body
- Locate the meter assembly housing, typically on the inlet side or top of the WS1.5/WS2/WS2H/WS3 valve body
- Release the retaining clip or cap securing the meter assembly in place
- Withdraw the old V3003-02 meter and inspect the housing and o-ring seat for debris or damage
- Fit the new meter assembly, ensuring the turbine sits square in its housing, and refit the retaining clip
- Restore water supply, return the valve to service position, and run a manual regeneration or flow test to confirm the controller is now registering usage correctly
