Crystal Right CR100 is a synthetic silica zeolite crystal that works by an ion exchange process and is particularly effective in removing iron, manganese, and hardness from water. and at the same time reduces ammonia.
More information in Product Resources below
There are two types of Crystal Right media, CR100 and CR200. What are the on site conditions required in order to assess which media option should be selected
- CR100: should be chosen where PH is between 6 and 7. PH 6 is the minimum requirement for choosing Crystal Right
- CR200: should be chosen where PH is 7 or above
- Regeneration by Salt/Brine. Both medias use Salt/Brine as the cleaning process
- Crystal Right: Works best on clear water, i.e. when the Iron/Manganese are in dissolved form
-
Crystal Right has some advantages of other medias
- Will Reduce Hardness
- Balances the PH in Acidic Water
- It can remove dissolved Iron and Manganese even at PH 6 where other back-washing medias need a higher PH level to be effective
Some limitations of Crystal Right
- Hydrogen Sulphide: Crystal Right CR100 is not effective in removing hydrogen sulphide (H₂S) if its concentration exceeds 0.5 ppm.
- Minimum Hardness Requirement: The media requires a minimum hardness level of 50 ppm calcium carbonate.
- Total Dissolved Solids (TDS): Requires a minimum TDS level of 80 ppm for optimal performance..
- pH Sensitivity: pH levels can affect its efficiency.
- Max. Combined Iron and Manganese: 15 PPM
