- This is replacement water softener resin for Harvey H20 Twin Tanks.
Please note that if your issue has been resin escaping then replacing the resin is not an option. Moulded inside the cylinders are fine filters, top and bottom which are inserted during the manufacturing process. Resin escaping is due to these filters perforating.
Resin damage is caused by exposure to chlorine in the water supply over a long period of time. Older resin becomes more susceptible and a sudden higher dosing due to water mains work locally can tip the balance if it enters the softener. Pressure builds up in the softener and if not detected, can cause eventual fracture of the screens.
- .Symptoms of Resin failing
- Reduced Water Flow (Run a soft tap - Open bypass - If flow dramatically increases then there is an issue worth investigating
- Resin Escaping - Immediately Isolate the softener and seek our advice
We supply instructions to assist in the resin change but there are risks. It is not possible to check the internal condition of the filters. We are sceptical of buying used cylinders because of this reason as you do not know the history. We recommend purchasing the full H20 Tanks (G3268) on our website. These are genuine and brand new and it removes any worries about achieving a successful repair.
