⚠️ Identification Guide: Is this the right part?

Before ordering, please verify your system type:

• H25/H30 Models: These units feature a separate, standalone salt bin and larger 1-inch plumbing connections. This G1898 is the correct fit.

• H2O Series: If your softener is a compact "block salt" model where the tanks and salt are in the same cabinet (3/4-inch ports), you require the G1491 kit instead.

Key Symptoms: Why Replace the G1898?

• Constantly Running to Drain: If you hear water flowing into the waste pipe 24/7, the shuttle valve is likely stuck or failing to seat. This is the #1 diagnostic starting point.

• Hard Water Breakthrough: A worn shuttle can allow hard water to bypass the resin tanks entirely, leading to limescale in your hot water system.

• Failure to Switch Tanks: In twin-tank systems, the shuttle must toggle between cylinders. If one tank stays "on" until it's exhausted without switching, the G1898 is likely at fault.
