The quartz sleeve sits between the UV lamp and the water, shielding the lamp from direct water contact while still letting UV light pass through to do its job. How to fit it

1. Isolate the water supply to the UV system and switch off power at the isolator.
2. Undo the retaining union or cap at the end of the chamber and carefully withdraw the lamp first.
3. Slide out the old quartz sleeve and check the housing and O-rings for scale or debris.
4. Clean the housing and fit fresh O-rings before inserting the new sleeve.
5. Refit the lamp, reassemble the union, then restore power and water supply.
6. Run the system briefly to drain before returning it to normal use.
