Signs you need this part
- The lamp fails to light, or flickers and won't stay on.
- The Hanovia 230 controller displays a lamp-fault or end-of-life warning.
- The lamp has reached the end of its rated service life, typically around 12 months of continuous running.
- You can see blackening or discolouration at either end of the lamp tube.
The UV lamp emits the germicidal UV-C light that inactivates bacteria and viruses as water passes through the chamber. Lamp output naturally fades with age well before the lamp actually goes out, so a lamp that's visibly lit can still be delivering a lower dose than the system needs. Running past the recommended replacement point risks disinfection falling below a safe level without any obvious sign until the lamp finally fails.

How to fit it
- Turn off power to the UV system at the isolator and, where fitted, isolate the water supply.
- Undo the retaining union or end cap on the UV chamber.
- Carefully withdraw the old lamp from inside the quartz sleeve without touching the sleeve with bare hands.
- Fit the new 130035-0652-01 lamp into the sleeve, seating the connector fully home.
- Reassemble the union or cap and restore power to the system.
- Reset the lamp-hours counter on the Hanovia 230 controller, if fitted.
