Product Description
This is the genuine seal kit for the quartz sleeve on a Hanovia 230 UV disinfection system, part number 180007-0125-1. WrekinWater supplies it as a set of 2 seals for the end housings where the quartz sleeve passes through the reactor chamber, so you can stop a leak or complete a sleeve service without hunting for a generic substitute.

Signs this seal needs replacing
- Water weeps or drips from the end housings of the UV chamber.
- The old seals look hardened, flattened or cracked when the sleeve is removed.
- The housing still leaks after you've refitted the quartz sleeve.
- Damp patches appear around the reactor's end caps between services.
These seals sit at each end of the reactor housing, sealing the joint where the quartz sleeve passes through so the water chamber stays watertight while the sleeve itself remains dry inside. The rubber sits close to a lamp that runs warm and is in constant contact with treated water, and that combination of heat and age gradually stiffens and perishes it. Once a seal loses its flexibility it stops gripping the sleeve and housing evenly, and pressure finds a way past it.
WrekinWater is a family run business based in Bettisfield, Shropshire, serving more than 50,000 customers over 15 years and rated Excellent on Trustpilot. We stock genuine parts for systems like the Hanovia 230, so you get seals sized correctly for your reactor rather than a generic O-ring that may not hold.
How to replace it
- Isolate the water supply and switch off power to the UV unit.
- Undo the retaining nut or union at the end housing.
- Withdraw the lamp, then carefully slide out the quartz sleeve.
- Remove the old seals from the housing and clean the sealing faces.
- Lubricate the new seals with food-safe silicone grease and fit them to the housing.
- Refit the sleeve and lamp, restore water and power, and check the end housings for leaks.
