The HF20BB-Triple is a 20-inch triple large-diameter (Big Blue-style) filter housing designed for high-flow, whole-house, commercial, and industrial water filtration.
With three full-size 20" × 4.5" filter chambers and 1" BSP ports, this robust system allows for multi-stage filtration, improving water quality and protecting downstream equipment such as UV disinfection units, reverse osmosis systems, and appliances.

Recommended Filter Combinations

The triple housing is ideal for custom filtration setups. You can tailor the system by selecting cartridges suited to your water type and treatment goals:

1️⃣ Stage 1 – Sediment Filtration

Use a polypropylene or pleated sediment filter (1–20 micron) to remove:

• Sand, silt, and rust particles

• Visible dirt and suspended solids

• Protects downstream filters from clogging

💡 Common choice: 5-micron sediment filter for balanced flow and protection.

2️⃣ Stage 2 – Carbon Filtration

Use a Carbon Block or Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) filter to remove:

• Chlorine and chloramines

• Pesticides, herbicides, and organic compounds

• Unpleasant tastes and odours

💡 Ideal for improving taste and odour in mains or well water.

3️⃣ Stage 3 – Specialist Filtration (Optional)

Choose from a range of specialist cartridges depending on your water quality:

• Iron or manganese reduction filters for borehole water

• Scale inhibitor cartridges for hard water protection

• Activated carbon block (fine) for additional polishing

• KDF media for heavy metal reduction (lead, mercury, etc.)

💡 For UV pre-treatment, use a 5-micron sediment filter in the final stage to protect the quartz sleeve from fouling.
