The Atlas Hydra Big RAH is a self-cleaning, high-flow filtration system designed for large domestic, agricultural, and commercial water applications.
Featuring 1.5-inch BSP ports and a stainless steel 90-micron washable filter, the Hydra Big delivers continuous filtration up to 15 m³/h, providing an efficient, low-maintenance solution for sediment and particulate removal.

This advanced system incorporates Atlas Filtri’s counter-current backwash design, which allows the filter to clean itself with a simple twist of the discharge valve — flushing out trapped debris without disassembling the unit or replacing cartridges.

How the Hydra Self-Cleaning System Works

The Hydra RAH operates using a reverse-flow cleaning system:
When the discharge valve is opened, the resulting pressure drop moves the cartridge downward, reversing the water flow through the filter from inside out.
This counter-current backwash action removes and discharges trapped particles through the drain, keeping the cartridge clean and the system operating at maximum efficiency.
