Microswitch Set for Fleck Duplex valves 9000/9100/9500

WrekinWater supplies this microswitch set for Fleck Duplex control valves fitted to 9000, 9100 and 9500 series water softeners. These switches feed the control head positional information about the valve's piston and cam, telling it which tank is in service and which is regenerating, and are a common point of failure as contacts wear with use.

Signs this needs replacing

• The valve fails to switch between duplex tanks during regeneration.
• An error code or fault light appears on the Fleck control display.
• One tank never regenerates, or gets stuck mid-cycle.
• The valve motor runs and moves normally but doesn't advance to the next tank.

Duplex Fleck valves rely on microswitches to sense the position of the control piston and cam, telling the timer which tank is currently in service and which should regenerate next. As the switch contacts wear electrically or mechanically, the valve loses this positional feedback and can't reliably alternate between tanks, leaving you without softened water or with a tank stuck in bypass or regeneration.

How to replace it

1. Isolate power to the valve's control head and bypass or turn off the water supply.
2. Remove the cover from the control head to access the microswitch assembly.
3. Note the wiring positions on each switch before disconnecting the screw terminals.
4. Unclip the old switches and fit the new set in exactly the same orientation.
5. Reconnect the wiring per your notes, then restore power and cycle the valve to confirm it switches correctly between tanks.
6. If the valve still won't switch properly, ask a qualified water treatment engineer to check the timer and cam assembly.
