Get Started

This high pressure switch is the tank-side partner to the low pressure switch, fitted to Pallas 5-Stage and 6-Stage Viva RO systems and the EF300 Direct Flow booster pump setup. WrekinWater supplies it as a direct replacement that senses when the storage tank has reached full pressure and switches the booster pump off, preventing overfilling and unnecessary pump wear.

Switch type High pressure cut-off switch
Function Switches the booster pump off once the storage tank reaches full pressure

Signs this needs replacing

  • The booster pump never switches off, even once the storage tank is full.
  • The pump runs continuously and the tank feels over-pressurised at the tap.
  • The pump fails to start even when tank pressure is genuinely low.
  • You hear a pressure-relief hiss or notice an unusually hard-to-turn dispenser tap.

The high pressure switch sits on the tank side of the booster pump and monitors stored water pressure. Once the tank reaches full pressure it cuts power to the pump, stopping it overfilling the tank and running needlessly. Over time the switch's internal contacts wear from constant cycling, and a failing switch can leave the pump running continuously or, less commonly, prevent it starting at all.

WrekinWater is a family run company in Bettisfield, Shropshire, with more than 50,000 customers served over 15 years and an Excellent rating on Trustpilot. We stock genuine Pallas switches alongside major brands such as Pentair Fleck, Autotrol, Clack and Kinetico, so you can be confident you're fitting the correct part first time.

How to replace it

  1. Isolate mains power to the system and turn off the incoming water supply.
  2. Open the dispenser tap to release any pressure held in the storage tank line.
  3. Locate the high pressure switch on the tank/output side of the booster pump and disconnect its tube fitting and wiring.
  4. Fit the replacement switch, matching the orientation and wiring of the original.
  5. Restore the water supply, check for leaks, then restore power and confirm the pump switches off once the tank refills.
  6. Call a qualified water treatment engineer if you're unsure about the wiring connections.

Yes, this high pressure switch is compatible with Pallas 5-Stage and 6-Stage Viva systems as well as the EF300 Direct Flow booster pump setup.

A failed switch typically means the booster pump won't switch off once the tank is full, running continuously and putting unnecessary wear on the pump and system.
