Get Started

WrekinWater supplies this low pressure switch for Pallas Viva 5-Stage and 6-Stage reverse osmosis systems fitted with a booster pump. It sits on the inlet side of the pump and cuts power the moment incoming mains pressure drops too low, protecting the pump from running dry. It's a genuine-fit replacement for a tired or failed original switch.

Compatible systems Pallas Viva 5-Stage and 6-Stage RO systems with a booster pump
Switch type Low pressure cut-off switch
Function Cuts power to the booster pump when inlet pressure drops too low
Connection Quick-connect push-fit tube fitting

Vendor Pallas

Signs this needs replacing

  • The booster pump keeps running even when incoming mains pressure has dropped very low.
  • The pump fails to start at all, even though mains pressure elsewhere in the house is normal.
  • You notice the pump cycling on and off rapidly or chattering.
  • The RO system underperforms or stops producing water despite good supply pressure.

The low pressure switch is a protection device fitted ahead of the booster pump on Pallas Viva 5- and 6-stage systems. It senses incoming mains pressure and cuts power to the pump if pressure falls below a safe threshold, stopping the pump running dry and burning out. As the switch ages, its internal diaphragm or contacts can fail, either sticking closed so the pump runs unprotected or sticking open so the pump never starts.

As a family run business based in Bettisfield, Shropshire, WrekinWater has supplied water treatment parts to more than 50,000 customers over 15 years and is rated Excellent on Trustpilot. Alongside major brands like Pentair Fleck, Autotrol, Clack and Kinetico, we stock the specific Pallas parts your Viva system needs, backed by real technical knowledge if you need help identifying the right switch.

How to replace it

  1. Isolate mains power to the RO system and turn off the water supply feeding the booster pump.
  2. Open a tap or the system's dispenser to relieve any residual pressure.
  3. Trace the low pressure switch on the inlet side of the pump and disconnect its tube fitting and wiring.
  4. Fit the new switch, matching the tube connection and wiring exactly as the old one.
  5. Restore the water supply and check the tube fitting for leaks before restoring power.
  6. If you're not confident working with the wiring, ask a qualified water treatment engineer to fit it for you.

This low pressure switch is designed for Pallas Viva 5-Stage and 6-Stage systems that use a booster pump. Gravity-fed systems without a pump don't use this part.

It protects the booster pump by cutting its power supply if incoming mains pressure drops too low, preventing the pump from running dry and burning out.
