Product Description
The John Guest PI1212S is a 3/8in push-fit bulkhead connector, supplied by WrekinWater for taking a 3/8in tube straight through the wall of a tank, housing or enclosure. A threaded body and backing nut clamp either side of the panel, so you get a sealed through-wall connection with a push-fit collet on each face for quick, tool-free tube fitting. It's the standard way to route pipework in or out of a sealed vessel without drilling and plumbing a separate fitting.

When you need this fitting
- You're routing 3/8in tube through the wall of a tank, housing or enclosure.
- Your existing bulkhead fitting is leaking or its collet has worn and no longer grips the tube.
- You're building or modifying a system and need a sealed panel pass-through rather than an external joint.
- You need to replace a cracked or UV-degraded bulkhead fitting on an outdoor or exposed enclosure.
A bulkhead connector has to do two jobs at once: hold a watertight seal against the panel it passes through, and grip the tube securely on both sides. Using the correct tube size, 3/8in, matters here more than with an inline joint, because an undersized or oversized tube won't seat properly in the collet, and any play at a through-wall fitting risks a slow leak that's hard to spot until it's caused damage inside the enclosure.
WrekinWater stocks genuine John Guest fittings as part of the wider range we've supplied to water treatment customers for over 15 years from our base in Bettisfield, Shropshire. Ordering the exact John Guest part number, rather than a generic equivalent, means you know the collets and O-rings are matched to the tube size you're using.
How to fit it
- Cut the panel hole to the size specified for the PI1212S body.
- Cut the 3/8in tube square and deburr the end before inserting it.
- Pass the connector body through the panel and secure it with the backing locknut.
- Push each length of 3/8in tube fully home into the collets on either side.
- Tug-test both tube connections to confirm they're gripped and seated correctly.
- Run water through the system briefly and check the panel joint for leaks before closing everything up.
