Product Description
This RQ-H38 sleeve is the direct replacement quartz sleeve for Atlas H38 UV systems, also matching units specified as a Luminor RQ-330. A new O-ring is included, so the seal is sorted alongside the sleeve itself. It's part of the smaller, domed-end "H" range from Atlas rather than the L-series.

Signs your quartz sleeve needs replacing
- Visible cloudiness, scaling, or scratching on the sleeve.
- Brown or yellow discolouration on the outside of the glass.
- A UV monitor or alarm triggering with the lamp still lit.
- The sleeve is around 12 months old, the standard replacement interval.
The H38's quartz sleeve keeps the lamp dry while allowing UV light through to disinfect the water flowing past it. As scale or general fouling builds up on the glass, UV transmittance falls even though the lamp keeps lighting normally, which means water can pass through under-treated without any obvious warning. Because the H-series runs a smaller lamp than the L-series, keeping the sleeve clear matters just as much for reliable disinfection at this size.
WrekinWater stocks parts across the Atlas range, including Luminor-equivalent codes like this RQ-330 cross-reference, drawing on 15 years of supplying UK water treatment customers. The O-ring is included here so you get a complete, ready-to-fit replacement in one order rather than sourcing a seal separately.
How to replace it
- Isolate the water supply and drain the UV housing.
- Undo the retaining nut or union and withdraw the lamp, then the old sleeve.
- Clean any scale from inside the housing before fitting the new sleeve.
- Fit the supplied O-ring and insert the new sleeve, domed end first.
- Refit the lamp, restore water and power, then run to drain briefly before use.
