Product Description
WrekinWater supplies this stainless steel replacement body, complete with gland nuts, for the Wrekin SS and SSi75 UV disinfection systems. It's the core pressure-bearing housing that holds the quartz sleeve and UV lamp, offered here without the quartz sleeve or seals so you can keep those if they're still serviceable. Choose it to replace a corroded, damaged or leaking original body on either system.

Signs you need this part
- Visible corrosion, pitting or heavy staining on the stainless housing.
- Water weeping or leaking from the body itself, rather than the end caps or unions.
- The housing has been dented or otherwise physically damaged.
- Leaks persist even after seals and gland nuts elsewhere on the system have been renewed.
The stainless steel body is the pressure vessel that holds mains water and houses the quartz sleeve and UV lamp on the SS and SSi75 systems, so it has to stay sound under constant pressure and flow. Stainless steel resists corrosion far better than a plastic housing, but years of service, aggressive water chemistry or a knock during installation can still pit or damage the shell. A compromised body risks a sudden leak under pressure, and because it's the structural core of the system, everything else, the lamp, sleeve and seals, depends on it being sound.
WrekinWater is a family-run company based in Bettisfield, Shropshire, that has supplied UV system parts to more than 50,000 customers over 15 years and is rated "Excellent" on Trustpilot. Stainless replacement bodies for the SSi75 are a specialist part not every supplier carries, and buying just the body lets you keep your existing lamp and control gear rather than replacing the whole system.
How to fit it
- Turn off the water supply to the UV system and open a downstream tap to relieve pressure.
- Disconnect the inlet and outlet pipework from the existing body.
- Remove the lamp, quartz sleeve and seals from the old body.
- Transfer or fit new seals and the quartz sleeve into the new stainless body, then refit the lamp.
- Reconnect the pipework using the supplied gland nuts and tighten evenly.
- Restore the water supply and check the housing for leaks before returning to service.
