Product Description
The Van Remmen 312500 is the 325W LL control unit specified for the V190 UV disinfection system, supplying and regulating the power this higher-output lamp needs to disinfect reliably. WrekinWater supplies this as a genuine replacement for the original unit fitted to a V190. It's an electrical component only, separate from the lamp and quartz sleeve.

Signs this needs replacing
- The V190 doesn't power on when switched on at the mains.
- The lamp won't strike even with a lamp you know is good.
- No display or indicator lights respond on the unit.
- The unit hums but nothing happens, or a fuse blows on power-up.
The control unit regulates the mains supply feeding the 325W lamp in the V190, which is Van Remmen's higher-capacity system and needs correspondingly more power to strike and run the lamp at full output. If the unit fails, the lamp can run weak or fail to light altogether, meaning water passing through the reactor isn't being reliably disinfected despite the system appearing to be switched on. As the part carrying the mains connections, a fault here is a safety issue as well as a performance one.
WrekinWater is a family-run business that has served more than 50,000 customers over 15 years from our base in Bettisfield, Shropshire, and we're rated "Excellent" on Trustpilot. We stock genuine Van Remmen control units so your V190 gets the correct high-output part.
How to replace it
- Switch off and unplug the V190 control unit from the mains before starting.
- Note how the lamp lead and any sensor or alarm wiring connects to the existing unit.
- Disconnect the leads and remove the old 312500 unit from its mounting.
- Fit the new unit in the same position and reconnect each lead exactly as it was.
- Restore the mains supply and check the lamp strikes and indicators operate correctly.
- If the wiring isn't a simple plug-in swap, or you're not confident with mains electrics on a unit this size, have a qualified electrician or water treatment engineer fit it.
