The 16x65 Turbidex Sediment Filter is a high-capacity solution for total suspended solids (TSS) reduction, outperforming traditional sand filters by a factor of ten. Utilizing a unique, natural clinoptilolite ore, Turbidex features a highly angular, microporous structure that provides a surface area 100 times greater than standard filter sand.
While conventional sand filters struggle to remove particles below 20 microns, Turbidex consistently filters down to 3–5 microns. This ensures elite-level water clarity and provides essential protection for downstream equipment such as UV sterilizers, RO membranes, and high-end domestic appliances.
Why Turbidex Beats Traditional Sand
-
Hyper-Fine Filtration: Removes suspended solids down to 5 microns or less, whereas sand filters typically stop at 20-40 microns.
-
Higher Flow Rates: The hydrophilic nature and high porosity of Turbidex allow for significantly higher service flow rates than conventional media.
-
Reduced Maintenance: The unique ore structure prevents the rapid pressure "head loss" associated with sand, allowing for much longer service runs between backwash cycles.
-
Massive Loading Capacity: Captures more sediment per cubic foot, meaning a smaller footprint can do the work of a much larger traditional system.
The Clack WS1 CI Advantage
We supply this system with the Clack WS1 CI (Commercial/Industrial) control valve. Unlike the basic TC (Timer) versions, the CI valve offers:
-
Advanced Adjustability: Enables precision tuning of backwash and rinse cycles to suit your specific on-site water conditions.
-
Multi-Media Capability: The CI valve is designed to handle heavier media and more rigorous backwash requirements.
-
Reliability: The WS1 series is the global industry standard for ease of service and long-term mechanical durability.
