Product Description
This domed-end quartz thimble is the correct match for Wonder C-360, CE-360, H-360 and HE-360 UV disinfection units running a G436 lamp, supplied by WrekinWater under part code QJ24530DE. It sits in the middle of the 180/360/480 Wonder thimble range, sized for the higher-output G436 lamp these 360-series units use. As with the 180-series thimble, it is closed at one end and open at the other.

Signs your quartz sleeve needs replacing
- The quartz has gone hazy or scratched instead of staying clear along its length.
- A brown or yellow deposit has built up that does not lift off with a light wipe.
- The 360-series unit's UV monitor is showing a low-dose alarm even after a lamp change.
- The thimble has been in the chamber for roughly a year, the usual renewal point alongside the G436 lamp.
This thimble keeps the G436 lamp dry and isolated from the water flowing through the C-360/H-360 series chamber, while still allowing that lamp's UV output to pass through the quartz wall into the water. Because the 360-series lamp runs at a higher output than the 180-series, any drop in UV transmittance from a scaled or scratched thimble has a proportionally bigger effect on treated water quality. The lamp itself will still light and look fine even as the thimble fouls.
WrekinWater lists this thimble specifically against the C-360/CE-360/H-360/HE-360 range and the G436 lamp it pairs with, drawing on more than 15 years of supplying Wonder UV parts. With over 50,000 customers served and an Excellent Trustpilot rating, we can confirm the fit before you order if you are not certain of your unit's exact model.
How to replace it
- Isolate the water supply and switch off power to the unit at the mains.
- Release the retaining nut or union at the open end and withdraw the G436 lamp.
- Slide the old QJ24530DE thimble out from the open end of the housing.
- Clean the housing bore and fit new O-rings ready for the replacement.
- Fit the new thimble domed-end first, then refit the lamp and reassemble the housing.
- Restore water and power, then flush the system to drain briefly before drawing water for use.
