Why it fails / why it matters

How to fit it

1. Isolate the softener, switch it to bypass and empty any remaining salt and brine from the old tank.
2. Disconnect the 3/8" brine line and any overflow fitting from the old tank.
3. Remove the damaged tank and position the new 35L tank in the same location.
4. Add salt to the new tank and reconnect the 3/8" brine line to the fitted 500A aircheck assembly, checking the connection is secure.
5. Refit the lid and check the brine line isn't kinked or under strain.
6. Take the softener off bypass, run a manual regeneration and confirm the aircheck/float shuts off correctly as the tank draws down.
