Product Description
The 1000211 is a fixed-orifice backwash flow controller sized for 9in diameter resin vessels, rated at 2gpm (7.6lpm), fitting into the drain line flow control (DLFC) housing on Autotrol control valves without needing a separate ball. It sets the backwash flow rate so the resin bed in a 9in vessel lifts and cleans correctly without media being washed away to drain. This is the correct replacement when rebuilding a 9in vessel or replacing a worn controller, stocked by WrekinWater.

Symptoms that mean you need this part
- Resin or media grit turning up in the drain water during backwash on a 9in vessel
- Backwash appears weak and doesn't seem to fully lift or expand the bed
- Softening or filtration performance declining despite the resin or media being in good condition
- The old controller washer is cracked, deformed or missing from the DLFC housing
Why it fails / why it matters
A 9in vessel needs a backwash flow rate proportioned to its cross-section to achieve correct bed expansion without carrying resin out to drain, which is why the 1000211 is calibrated specifically to 2gpm for this vessel size. Fitting a worn, missing or incorrectly sized controller either under-cleans the bed, leaving it prone to channelling and reduced capacity, or over-flows it and strips resin away over time.
