How to fit it

1. Isolate the softener at the bypass valve and depressurise the system before opening the valve body or remote base
2. Remove the top cover or piston retaining components to access the upper distributor
3. Withdraw the old distributor and inspect the piston bore for scoring, scale build-up or debris
4. Clean the bore and seating area before fitting the replacement 9251 distributor
5. Reassemble the piston and cover, checking the distributor seats squarely with no play
