The 1234259 is Autotrol's 1" BSP male plastic manifold with an internal turbine, fitted to metered control valves handling higher flow rates than the standard 3/4" domestic setup. The turbine measures water passing through the valve so it can regenerate based on actual usage rather than a fixed schedule. WrekinWater stocks this larger-bore manifold for installers working on higher-demand domestic or light commercial softener and filter installations.

Symptoms that mean you need this part
- The softener stops regenerating on volume and reverts to erratic or missed cycles because the meter isn't registering flow
- The turbine paddle wheel is stuck or fouled with scale and sediment, giving a false or zero flow reading
- The manifold body is cracked or leaking at the 1" ports
- You're upgrading from 3/4" to 1" pipework to cope with higher flow demand and need the matching turbine manifold
Why it fails / why it matters
The turbine inside this manifold spins in proportion to water flow and sends a signal back to the control board or meter dome, which is how the valve knows how much water has passed through and when to trigger a regeneration. Grit, scale flakes and general debris in the supply can jam or wear the turbine paddles, giving an inaccurate reading that leaves the softener regenerating too often or not often enough. Because the turbine is moulded into the manifold body itself, a worn paddle wheel or a cracked housing both mean replacing the whole manifold rather than a single internal part.

With more than 50,000 customers served, a full range of Pentair Fleck, Autotrol, Clack and Kinetico stock, and an Excellent Trustpilot rating, WrekinWater is a reliable source for the less common parts that keep higher-flow installations metering accurately.
How to fit it
- Isolate the mains supply and switch the valve to bypass before starting work
- Disconnect the 1" pipework or tails from the existing manifold
- Remove the manifold from the base of the control valve and inspect the meter dome connection
- Fit the new 1234259 manifold with fresh o-rings, seating it squarely against the valve body
- Reconnect the meter dome lead if fitted separately, then reconnect the 1" pipework or tails
- Restore the mains supply, run a manual regeneration, and confirm the meter is registering flow correctly before returning to service
