Product Description
The 1242153 is the genuine-spec Logix 760 C volumetric controller for Autotrol control valves, an electronic control panel that meters actual water use through a turbine sensor and initiates regeneration on demand rather than on a fixed calendar. WrekinWater holds only limited remaining stock of this controller, as Autotrol has been transitioning its Logix control range to the newer Select Easy-iQ platform, so this is best treated as a legacy replacement rather than an indefinitely available line. It's aimed at owners of existing Logix 760 C systems who need a genuine-spec like-for-like swap rather than a full valve conversion.

Symptoms that mean you need this part
- The existing 760 C display is faded, flickering or has dead segments
- The controller no longer registers flow from the meter turbine, so regeneration never triggers on demand
- The keypad is unresponsive and regeneration settings can't be adjusted
- The controller loses its programmed hardness and reserve capacity settings after every power interruption
Why it fails / why it matters
The Logix 760 C reads pulses from the turbine meter to track exactly how much water has been used, calculates remaining softening capacity against the programmed hardness figure, and calls a regeneration once that capacity is used up, giving genuinely demand-based softening rather than a fixed weekly cycle. As with any electronic control board, the failure points are the display, keypad membrane and onboard capacitors ageing with use, plus battery backup failure on the clock circuit. Because Autotrol has moved its current-generation controllers to the Select Easy-iQ platform, remaining 760 C stock like this is finite, and once it's gone a like-for-like swap won't be possible for existing Logix 760 C installations.
Why buy this from WrekinWater
WrekinWater has served more than 50,000 customers over 15 years from its Bettisfield, Shropshire base and flags genuinely limited-stock lines honestly rather than listing them as freely available indefinitely, which matters when you're relying on a like-for-like controller replacement. As specialists in Pentair Fleck, Autotrol, Clack and Kinetico parts and rated Excellent on Trustpilot, WrekinWater can also advise on moving to the current Select Easy-iQ control once this stock is exhausted.
How to fit it
- Isolate the softener at the bypass valve and disconnect the transformer before removing the existing controller
- Record your current programming - hardness setting, reserve capacity, regeneration time and any day overrides
- Release the fixing screws holding the old 760 C controller to the valve body
- Disconnect the meter turbine lead, motor cable and transformer lead from the old controller
- Fit the replacement 1242153 controller, reconnecting the turbine lead, motor cable and transformer lead in the same positions
- Secure the controller, restore power, reprogram the hardness and capacity settings, and run a manual regeneration to confirm correct operation
