Product Description
This is the manifold used on Autotrol 367 and 368 ECO series control valves, the moulded fitting that bolts to the underside of the valve and provides the connection points for the bypass valve and household pipework. It's a common point of failure on older softeners, either cracking with age or getting damaged when a bypass valve is forced or over-tightened. WrekinWater stocks this manifold, p/n 4000970, as a direct replacement for 367 and 368 valve installations.

Symptoms that mean you need this part
- The manifold is visibly cracked or split around the bypass or pipe connection points
- There's a persistent leak at the base of the valve that traces back to the manifold rather than the valve seals
- The bypass valve won't seat properly because the manifold mounting has distorted or broken
- You're fitting a second-hand or reclaimed 367/368 valve and the original manifold is missing or damaged
Why it fails / why it matters
The manifold on a 367 or 368 ECO valve carries the full mains pressure connection between the softener and the household pipework, held together with a bypass valve and o-ring seals. Because it's moulded plastic bolted directly under the control valve, it's vulnerable to cracking from over-tightened fittings, accidental impact, or simple age-related brittleness, and once cracked it cannot be reliably resealed. Fitting a replacement manifold restores a sound connection point without needing to replace the control valve itself.

Fast dispatch and an Excellent Trustpilot rating mean a cracked manifold doesn't have to mean a softener out of action for long.
How to fit it
- Isolate the softener at the bypass valve and shut off the mains supply before disconnecting pipework
- Undo the bypass valve and any pipe connections attached to the existing manifold
- Remove the retaining screws or clips securing the manifold to the underside of the control valve
- Fit new o-rings to the manifold connection points and offer up the replacement manifold p/n 4000970 to the valve base
- Secure the manifold with the retaining screws or clips, then reconnect the bypass valve and pipework
- Restore the mains supply and check every joint for leaks before returning the softener to service
