Yes. The Wrekin FTO is fully compatible with Berkey systems. The major advantage is that the Wrekin FTO handles fluoride reduction (up to 97.5%) within the main filter candle. Unlike the original system which requires separate white PF-2 filters screwed onto the bottom, the Wrekin FTO provides a streamlined "all-in-one" solution, leaving more room in your lower chamber for filtered water.

TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) measures all minerals in your water. The Wrekin FTO is a selective filter; it removes harmful chemicals, bacteria, micro-plastics, and heavy metals, but it leaves behind "Healthy Water" minerals like Calcium and Magnesium. Because these essential minerals remain, the TDS reading will stay consistent, confirming that your water is clean but still mineral-rich.
