The Clack WS1.5CI Softener timer controlled valve, supplied by WrekinWater, is a complete 1.5" cast-iron control valve built for large commercial water softening applications, regenerating on a fixed, programmable time-clock schedule. How to fit it

1. Have a competent installer or water treatment engineer survey your existing system and confirm tank head thread, flow demand and resin volume match this 1.5" timer valve.
2. Isolate the water supply and fully depressurise the softener vessel before removing the existing valve.
3. Remove the old control valve from the tank head, recording inlet, outlet, drain and brine line connections.
4. Fit the new Clack WS1.5CI timer valve to the tank head with new O-rings/seals, ensuring the riser tube is correctly seated.
5. Reconnect drain and brine pipework, restore the water supply gradually and pressure-test every joint for leaks.
6. Program the controller with the correct regeneration time, frequency and salt dose, then run a full commissioning cycle before returning the system to service.
