DN20 & DN32 - EPDM Seal for Basket

The basket seal keeps the strainer basket correctly seated in the filter body, forcing all the water through the mesh rather than around it. In a closed circuit system this seal is exposed to warm, treated water and occasional chemical dosing, both of which cause EPDM rubber to harden and lose its shape over time.

How to replace it

1. Isolate the closed circuit system and relieve pressure before opening the filter.
2. Open the filter body and lift out the strainer basket.
3. Remove the old seal from the basket or housing groove.
4. Clean the sealing surface and lightly grease the new seal with food-safe silicone grease.
5. Fit the new seal and refit the basket into the filter body.
6. Repressurise the system and check the filter for leaks.
