Product Description
This 3/8" female x 3/8" compression elbow connector is the exact replacement fitting used on the air check assembly of Wrekin ECO and ECOULTRA water softeners, linking the brine line tubing to the air check valve that controls the brine draw. WrekinWater stocks this connector as a genuine spare for customers dealing with a leaking or cracked fitting on this assembly.

Symptoms that mean you need this part
- Water is dripping or leaking from the elbow fitting on the brine line
- The elbow connector is visibly cracked, discoloured or brittle
- The brine line loses prime and the softener struggles to draw brine correctly
- Salt or moisture residue is building up around the air check assembly fitting
Why it fails / why it matters
The elbow connector seals the joint between the brine line tubing and the air check assembly, which controls the vacuum needed to draw brine into the resin tank during regeneration. Constant exposure to salt, moisture and pressure cycling makes the plastic fitting brittle over time, and over-tightened compression nuts can also crack it, breaking the seal and allowing leaks or loss of the vacuum needed for a correct brine draw.

How to fit it
- Turn off the water supply and place the softener in bypass
- Relieve any pressure remaining in the brine line
- Loosen and remove the compression nut securing the old elbow connector
- Remove the cracked elbow and fit a new compression ferrule if the old one is worn
- Fit the new elbow connector and hand-tighten the compression nut, then nip up with a spanner
- Restore the water supply and run a manual regeneration to check for leaks at the fitting
