Product Description

The Fleck 24107 is the original 8m³ Econominder meter assembly fitted to a range of metered Fleck water softener control valves, and WrekinWater is flagging it here as an obsolete, legacy-stock part rather than a current production item. If your softener's control head takes this specific meter body, it's worth reading on before ordering, because Pentair has discontinued manufacture of this exact assembly and remaining stock is finite.

Technical specifications

Part Number 24107
Brand Pentair Fleck
Meter Size 8m³ (Econominder)
Status Obsolete - legacy/discontinued stock only
Function Measures water usage to trigger metered regeneration
Fitting Meter cap/module on compatible Econominder valve bodies

Symptoms that mean you need this part

  • The digital display shows zero or erratic gallons/litres used despite water clearly running through the softener
  • The softener has stopped regenerating based on actual water usage and seems to have reverted to a fixed time-clock pattern
  • You can hear or feel no click/pulse from the meter body when water is drawn through the unit
  • The control head reports a meter or flow-sensor fault code on models that support one

Why it fails / why it matters

The 24107 meter assembly contains a small turbine wheel that spins as water passes through it, driving a magnet past a sensor to generate the pulses the control board counts to calculate volume used. Grit, resin fines and general mineral debris passing through the meter body can jam or wear the turbine bearing over years of service, and the sensor itself can degrade, so the assembly gradually stops reporting usage accurately or stops altogether - it's a wear part like any other, it's simply one that Pentair no longer manufactures new.

Why buy this from WrekinWater

WrekinWater has served more than 50,000 customers over 15 years from our base in Bettisfield, Shropshire, and as UK Company No. 11000488 we hold genuine stock across Pentair Fleck, Autotrol, Clack, Kinetico and other major softener brands, rated Excellent on Trustpilot. Because this is an obsolete part with limited remaining stock, we'd strongly recommend contacting us to confirm current availability and condition before you place an order, rather than assuming stock levels shown online are guaranteed.

How to fit it

  1. Turn off the water supply to the softener and switch the control valve to bypass
  2. Unplug the unit from the mains and relieve any residual pressure by opening a nearby tap
  3. Locate the meter cap or module on the valve body, usually secured with a retaining clip or small screws
  4. Disconnect the meter's wiring connector from the control board before removing the old assembly
  5. Fit the replacement meter assembly in the same orientation, reconnect the wiring, and refit the retaining clip or screws
  6. Restore power and water supply, take the valve off bypass, and run a manual regeneration to confirm the display now registers usage correctly

Frequently asked questions

No. This part has been discontinued by Pentair and is marked as obsolete. What we list here is remaining legacy stock, not newly manufactured product, so please check with us before ordering to confirm what's actually available.

We're not able to confirm a guaranteed like-for-like successor for this exact meter body. If stock of the 24107 runs out, contact WrekinWater and we'll advise honestly on your options based on your specific valve model rather than guessing at a substitute.

The internal turbine and sensor aren't designed as user-serviceable components, so repair isn't a realistic fix for wear or failure. If your meter has failed, replacement with remaining genuine stock is the only route - which is exactly why we recommend confirming availability with us first.
