How to fit it

1. Isolate the water supply to the valve and relieve system pressure via a nearby tap.
2. If your valve uses an external bypass, leave it in place and simply access the valve body.
3. Undo the retaining screws or clip holding the valve body cap, then draw out the old piston assembly.
4. Compare the old piston's seal and spacer arrangement against the 26495-00 to confirm a correct match.
5. Insert the new piston, making sure all seals are properly seated, and refit the valve body cap.
6. Restore the water supply and run a manual regeneration cycle to confirm smooth operation and no leaks.
