Product Description
This is a purpose-sized funnel from WrekinWater for filling water softener or filter vessels that have a 2.5in top hole opening. It's a tool rather than a consumable: its narrow spout guides loose resin or media straight into the vessel neck, so you're not tipping product in by hand and losing some over the side. It's a handy addition whenever you're topping up or fully recharging a vessel of this size.

Why you might need this
- You're topping up or replacing resin in a vessel with a narrow 2.5in top hole opening.
- You don't have a suitable funnel and don't want to waste media over the side of the vessel.
- You're carrying out a DIY resin change and want a clean, controlled fill.
- Your original tool kit didn't include a funnel, or the one you had has gone missing.
Pouring loose resin or media straight into a narrow vessel neck without a properly sized funnel almost always means some of it ends up over the side rather than inside the vessel, which wastes product and creates mess around the installation. A funnel matched to the opening controls the flow of media and directs it straight down into the vessel, so a full recharge goes in cleanly and to the correct level.
WrekinWater is a family run water treatment business based in Bettisfield, Shropshire, serving more than 50,000 customers over 15 years and rated Excellent on Trustpilot. We sell the same practical tools our own engineers use for resin changes, sized correctly for the vessels customers actually have.
How to use it
- Remove the vessel's top plate, valve, or access cap to expose the fill opening.
- Insert the funnel's spout into the 2.5in opening.
- Pour resin or media into the funnel steadily, in small batches.
- Tap the side of the vessel gently to help media settle and avoid bridging.
- Remove the funnel, refit the valve or cap, and rinse the vessel before use.
