Funnel for filling vessels with 4-6" Top hole Vessels

This is a larger filling funnel from WrekinWater, sized for water softener and filter vessels with a 4in to 6in top hole opening, the kind typically found on bigger domestic and light commercial systems. Like its smaller 2.5in counterpart, it's a reusable tool rather than a media itself: its wide mouth and matched spout make it far easier to load a full charge of resin or media into a large vessel neck without losing product over the sides.

Larger vessels hold a correspondingly larger charge of resin or media, so a full fill or recharge means moving a lot more product through the opening at once. Without a funnel matched to that wider neck, it's easy to overshoot the opening or create a mound that blocks the flow, leading to spilt media and an uneven fill. A properly sized funnel keeps the pour contained and lets the vessel fill evenly to the level it needs.

How to use it

1. Remove the vessel's top plate, valve, or access cap to expose the fill opening.
2. Position the funnel's spout into the 4-6in opening.
3. Pour resin or media in steadily, working in stages rather than all at once.
4. Tap or gently agitate the vessel to help media settle and prevent bridging.
5. Remove the funnel, refit the valve or cap, and rinse the vessel before bringing it back into service.
