Product Description
This WrekinWater equal nipple connector has a male 3/4in BSP thread at each end, letting you join two female 3/4in BSP ports directly together. It's commonly used to link filter housings, connect a housing outlet to existing 3/4in pipework, or close the gap between two fittings that both present a female port. Because both ends match, it works equally well left-to-right or right-to-left in the pipe run.

When you need this fitting
- You need to join two components that both have a female 3/4in BSP port.
- Your current nipple has a rounded, corroded or leaking thread and needs replacing.
- You're extending or adapting existing 3/4in BSP pipework without changing pipe size.
- You're connecting a housing outlet directly to another fitting with matching threads.
A nipple only works if the thread is a genuine match on both sides; BSP threads are sized and pitched differently from metric or NPT threads, so forcing a mismatched fitting together can strip the thread or leave a joint that never seals properly however much tape you use. Using a correctly sized 3/4in BSP nipple, with PTFE tape and proper hand-tightening, gives you a joint that seals on the thread itself rather than relying on force.
WrekinWater has been supplying water treatment fittings to UK customers for 15 years from our base in Bettisfield, Shropshire, and we stock the specific thread sizes our own housings and systems use. Ordering the exact 3/4in BSP nipple rather than guessing at a generic hardware-store equivalent means the thread pitch is right first time.
How to fit it
- Isolate the water supply and relieve any pressure in the pipework before starting.
- Wrap PTFE tape clockwise around both male threads of the nipple.
- Hand-tighten the nipple into the first female port.
- Tighten a further quarter to half a turn with a spanner, don't overtighten.
- Repeat to connect the second female port at the other end.
- Restore the water supply and check both joints closely for leaks.
