A UV quartz sleeve used in an ultra violet light water treatment system does not always need annual replacement, but it must be cleaned and checked for limescale, staining or cracks. If the quartz sleeve becomes cloudy, etched or damaged, it should be replaced immediately to maintain proper UV transmission and effective water disinfection.

A UV quartz sleeve protects the UV lamp inside your ultra violet light system while allowing maximum UV light transmission into the water. The quartz sleeve creates a waterproof barrier between the electrical UV lamp and the flowing water, ensuring safe and efficient UV disinfection.
