The SE3-OP is the opposite-port version of WrekinWater's largest Prosep SE-series body, with 1" ports positioned on opposite sides of the housing for straight-through pipework runs. Supplied as a bare, unlabelled spare body, it replaces a damaged or leaking SE3 head while letting you keep your existing bowl and internal cartridge or media. This layout suits installations where the pipe passes directly through rather than turning into one face of the housing.
| Part code | SE3-BODY-OS-1 |
| Port size | 1" |
| Port arrangement | Opposite sides (inlet and outlet on opposing faces) |
| Compatible range | Prosep SE-series (SE3) housings |
| Component supplied | Filter head/body only, unlabelled |
Signs you need this part
- Water is weeping from the ports or the seam between body and bowl on your current SE3 housing.
- The existing body's threads have degraded and no longer hold a tight seal with the bowl.
- Your pipework runs straight through the housing but the current body has same-side ports instead.
- The body has become brittle or visibly cracked after years under mains pressure.
With ports on opposite faces, the SE3-OP is built for pipework that runs straight through the housing rather than looping into one side, which keeps the plumbing tidier on many installations. As with any SE-series body, sustained mains pressure and age can gradually weaken the plastic, and a body with the wrong port arrangement fitted under strain can put extra load on the pipe joints either side of it. Replacing a failing or mismatched body keeps both the seal and the pipework layout sound.

How to fit it
- Turn off the water supply and open a downstream tap to relieve pressure in the pipework.
- Unscrew the bowl from the old SE3 body and set the cartridge or media aside.
- Disconnect the pipework unions from the old body's opposite-side 1" ports.
- Fit the new SE3-OP body in line with the pipework, connecting each port to its original run.
- Refit the bowl and O-ring, tightening by hand or with a housing spanner.
- Restore the water supply and check both port connections and the bowl seal for leaks.
