How to fit it

1. Locate the flats on the fitting you're working on (injector cap, bypass clip boss, or stack nut).
2. Seat the wrench fully over the flats before applying any turning force — don't try to grip at an angle.
3. Turn steadily rather than jerking the wrench; if a fitting feels unusually stiff, it's more often scale build-up than an over-tight thread, so a squirt of penetrating spray and a short wait is safer than extra force.
