Product Description
The Clack V3007-06 is the genuine WS1 fitting adaptor tail assembly with a 1in male BSPT thread, connecting a Clack WS1 valve to 1in household pipework. WrekinWater stocks these as OEM spares for Kennet and other WS1-based softeners running the larger 1in port size. Fitting the matching thread size keeps the seal between valve and pipework exactly as the system was designed.

When you need this fitting
- Your WS1 valve's original 1in tail has cracked or is leaking at the pipe connection.
- You're plumbing a Clack WS1 valve into 1in pipework for the first time.
- You've swapped a bypass valve and need a genuine matching tail to reconnect it.
- You're seeing a leak that traces back to the pipe joint rather than the valve body itself.
On larger households or higher-flow installations, WS1 valves are often plumbed with the 1in tail rather than 3/4in, and that larger thread has to seal just as reliably as the smaller version. A cracked or over-tightened plastic tail loses its sealing face at the BSPT thread, and once that happens, tape alone won't hold back a leak; replacing the tail with the genuine Clack part restores a proper seal.
WrekinWater has supplied genuine Clack and Kennet softener parts from our base in Bettisfield, Shropshire, for 15 years, and we're rated Excellent on Trustpilot. Stocking the correct 1in V3007-06 assembly means you're not left trying to make a 3/4in tail fit a larger port.
How to fit it
- Isolate the water supply to the softener and relieve pressure in the pipework.
- Remove the old 1in adaptor tail from the WS1 valve body.
- Wrap PTFE tape around the 1in male BSPT thread of the new tail.
- Hand-tighten into the valve body, then a further quarter to half a turn.
- Reconnect the household pipework to the tail.
- Restore the water supply and check closely for leaks at the joint.
