Product Description
This is the genuine Clack V3008-02 drain fitting, a straight 1" connection with a built-in check valve, made for the WS1 control valve series. WrekinWater supplies this part for customers whose original drain fitting has cracked, seized, or lost its check valve function. It connects the valve's drain outlet to your drain line and stops water running back the wrong way once a regeneration cycle ends.

Signs you need this part
- Water trickles or drips from the drain line even when the valve isn't regenerating.
- There's a persistent smell or standing water smell near the drain connection.
- The fitting itself is cracked, split, or leaking at the threaded joint to the valve.
- You can hear water draining back through the fitting after a cycle finishes.
The check valve inside this fitting exists to stop water in the drain line siphoning or draining back into the control valve once a regeneration cycle completes, which is especially important if the drain line runs below the valve or has any standing water in it. As the internal flapper or seal ages, it can stiffen, crack or fail to seat properly, allowing backflow that can waste water, create odours, or in some cases let contaminated drain water find its way back toward the valve. A perished check valve rarely announces itself loudly, so a slow drip or persistent smell is often the only warning.
WrekinWater is a family run company based in Bettisfield, Shropshire, that has served more than 50,000 customers over 15 years and stocks genuine Clack parts rather than generic drain fittings that may not include a working check valve. Fitting the correct manufacturer part keeps the drain connection sized and sealed exactly as designed, with support from a UK team (Company No. 11000488) rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
How to fit it
- Isolate the water supply to the softener and put the valve into bypass before starting.
- Disconnect the drain line tubing from the existing fitting.
- Unscrew the old drain fitting from the valve's drain outlet.
- Wrap the new fitting's thread with PTFE tape and screw it into the drain outlet.
- Reconnect the drain line tubing securely to the new fitting.
- Restore the water supply, take the valve out of bypass, and run a manual regeneration to check for leaks.
