Product Description
The Clack V3007-14 is a genuine WS1 fitting adaptor tail assembly with a 3/4in male BSPT thread, used to connect a Clack WS1 valve to your household pipework. WrekinWater supplies these as OEM replacement or spare tails for Kennet and other WS1-based softeners, so the connection between valve and pipe matches what the system was built with. Being plastic, it's the standard lightweight assembly Clack fits as original equipment on WS1 valves.

When you need this fitting
- Your WS1 valve's original 3/4in tail has cracked, split or is weeping at the pipe joint.
- You're plumbing a Clack WS1 valve into 3/4in pipework for the first time.
- You're replacing a bypass valve or fitting and need a matching genuine tail.
- You've noticed a leak specifically at the pipe connection into the valve, rather than inside the valve body.
The adaptor tail is what actually threads into your household pipework and seals against the WS1 valve body, so it takes the strain every time the connection is disturbed for a service or a bypass swap. Plastic tails can crack over time from over-tightening or repeated disconnection, and once the BSPT thread or sealing face is damaged, no amount of tape will stop a leak at that joint; a genuine Clack tail restores the original fit.
WrekinWater is a family-run business in Bettisfield, Shropshire, and has supplied Kennet and other Clack-based softener parts to UK customers for 15 years. We stock the genuine Clack V3007-14 assembly rather than a generic substitute, so it fits your WS1 valve exactly as it did from new.
How to fit it
- Isolate the water supply to the softener and relieve any pressure in the pipework.
- Remove the old adaptor tail from the WS1 valve body.
- Wrap PTFE tape around the 3/4in male BSPT thread of the new tail.
- Hand-tighten the tail into the valve body, then a further quarter to half a turn.
- Reconnect the household pipework to the tail.
- Restore the water supply and check the joint for leaks before leaving it running.
