Product Description
Water-King WK-SE: Non-Plumbing Water Conditioner for High-Output Electric Heaters (up to 42mm)
The Water-King WK-SE is purpose-built for high-output electric water heaters and hot water cylinders with multiple immersion elements — exactly the setup you'll find in many off-grid and self-sufficient homes running on their own power supply, where a mains gas boiler isn't an option. It's rated for individual heaters or clusters of heaters with a combined electrical output of up to 12kW.
As with every Water-King unit, there's no plumbing involved: the WK-SE clips onto your existing cold supply pipe (up to 42mm) and runs from a standard 230V socket — solar-charged inverters, generators and shore power all work, since it draws just 1.5W continuously.

Who it's for
- Off-grid and self-sufficient households running high-output electric water heaters instead of a gas boiler
- Homes with hot water cylinders fitted with multiple immersion elements
- Anyone with a 42mm supply pipe needing more coverage than the Sentry provides
Why it matters
Electric water heaters and multi-element cylinders scale up quickly without a mains gas boiler's flow characteristics to help disperse minerals — the WK-SE is sized specifically for that load, so off-grid and electric-heating households aren't left choosing between an undersized domestic unit and an oversized commercial one.
Installing your WK-SE
- Locate the unit on the cold supply pipe, within the same plant space as the water heater or cylinder where possible.
- Allow 6cm of straight pipe per aerial pair; pairs can sit either side of a bend.
- Site within 1 metre of your power supply — mains, inverter, or generator — and 45cm of the pipe.
- Wrap the 4 aerials around the pipe as directed; no bypass or plumbing changes needed.
- Plug in and leave running continuously for best results.
