- Common Grade Gravel and is the most commonly used grade for Water Treatment systems
- For Use with Filter Media Such as Birm, Filox to assist flow
Filter gravel is a coarse, granular material used in water filtration systems to provide a support structure for the filter media and to distribute water flow evenly. It's typically placed at the bottom of a filter bed, beneath the filter media such as sand or activated carbon.
- Gravel Size: Gravel should be larger than the filter media to allow for proper water flow. This common grade is used as the standard in all our Filter systems that have a gravel base
- Pre-Washed: We supply washed gravel to prevent clogging
- Quantity: The amount of gravel needed will depend on the size of the filter bed and the desired filtration rate however as a rule of thumb, there should be sufficient depth to cover the bottom screen of the riser tube
