WS1 Drain Line Flow Controller (DLFC) 027(2.7 gpm) for 3/4 Clack 50L

This Clack WS1 DLFC 027 is a 2.7 gpm drain line flow controller sized for 3/4in drain connections, matched to Clack 50L softener cabinets running the WS1 control valve. On a Clack 50L cabinet the DLFC 027 sets the exact backwash flow rate the valve was designed around, expanding the resin bed enough to clean it without carrying media away. As the plastic disc ages it can crack or wear, letting flow drift out of spec and gradually reducing softening capacity even though the valve itself still cycles normally.

How to fit it

1. Turn the softener to bypass and isolate the water supply.
2. Locate the drain line elbow at the rear of the WS1 valve.
3. Open the elbow fitting and remove the old DLFC disc.
4. Insert the new 2.7 gpm DLFC 027 disc in the same orientation.
5. Close up the elbow fitting and restore the water supply.
6. Run a manual regeneration and confirm the drain flow and fittings are sound.
